Time for Some Star Wars Halloween Costumes

Are you a big Star Wars fan? I would not say that I am one but I think it is pretty cool to dress up as a Star Wars character to a Halloween party. So far, I have not encountered anybody who has come up with a Star Wars themed party, be it for Halloween or not. But I think there are so many Star Wars fans out there that this proposal might be worth studying!
Anyways I have digressed slightly. The purpose of this article of mine today is to list down some of the Star Wars character that would make good Halloween costume ideas. Usually at the Comics Convention or some other geek party, the most common character you see would be the Storm Troopers. While their appearance is quite common during such occasions, you would see them less at Halloween parties, given that they are not that popular among Halloween fans.
So who are the more popular Star Wars characters that you can pose as for Halloween? First of all, I have to warn you that certain costumes can be quite elaborate. For example Darth Vader is one of the more popular characters. One of the reasons for its popularity is because the Darth Vader costume is not cheap and not everybody can afford it. Furthermore if you decide to make your own Darth Vader costume, it is not easy especially the mask. So if you want to try it out, you can make your own cape and black suit but you would need to buy a mask, unless you can make do with a printed cut out paper mask.
If you prefer to be one of the good guys, then you can consider dressing up as Chewbacca or Obi Wan Kenobi. The Chewbacca costume is more complicated because you would have to wear this external suit that will make you look like an overgrown monkey or Sasquatch (otherwise known as the big foot). The Obi Wan Kenobi costume is much simpler. You would need to either buy a light saber or fashion one out of wood or plastic at home though. There are other choices available too such as Luke Skywalker and for the ladies Princess Leia or Queen Amidala. All these characters involve some elaborate costume, except Luke Skywalker but the problem with Luke Skywalker is that you do not really stand out from the crowd and people might have a hard time trying to guess which character you are supposed to be.
Whatever it is, I hope the above examples have given you some cool Halloween costume ideasfor the Star Wars fan in you. This is Abner Johnson signing off on yet another article that offers good and funny halloween costumes ideas. Have a great Halloween party!
